Katie Atkinson, owner and designer of Katarj unique jewellery, has been creating beautiful jewellery from her design studio on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast since she was a teenager, she started off by visiting markets to collect old necklaces and pulling them apart to create new, individual pieces.

Over the years Katie’s collection of beads has grown and she has developed her own unique style that ensures she doesn’t bind herself to one type of design line. Katie creates based on her mood at the time she sits down at her bead table.

Katie’s customers are constantly telling her about all the compliments they receive when wearing her pieces, which just shows how different and striking her creative style is!
